Film – The Counterfeiters

The Counterfeiters (in German Die Fälscher) has a one-off showing on Wednesday 27th January 5.45pm at Broadway Cinema to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. The film won the Best Foreign Language Film Award at the 2008 Oscars.
“…a true story of the largest counterfeiting operation in history, set up by the Nazis in 1936 to flood the Allied economies with bogus notes. A notorious counterfeiter incarcerated in a concentration camp is offered better treatment if he cooperates, and must choose between helping the Nazis and certain death.”
