Year 7 Trip to Paris & Normandy
Posted on 30. Apr, 2010 by Mr Holding in Français
Fifty two year seven pupils spent seven days in Paris and Normandy, discovering that the French they learn at school can serve a useful purpose. They immersed themselves in French culture at various levels. Visiting the Eiffel Tower, the Stade de France, the Musée d’Orsay, the Bayeux Tapestry and the D-Day landing beaches were just some of the highlights.
The boys also became pretty expert at using the metro system in Paris when we embarked on our city walkabout tours. They have all produced a souvenir diary of the visit which they will no doubt pull out of a drawer at some time in the future and look back fondly on what was for many of them their first trip away without their parents.
