Year 9 French – une super bonne journée!
Posted on 01. Feb, 2011 by Mr Brown in Français, Languages, Year 9
Year nine used bubblr to make some entertaining and insightful comic strips about a day out they recently had.
Boys, watch some of them but remember to leave comments on the messageboard opposite.

Year 9, I thoroughly enjoyed looking at these great cartoon strips in Bubblr. Very effective. My French is very rudimentary so I trust that you’ll comment on the grammar and spelling of each other’s work, rather than rely on me to do so – well done!

I enjoyed viewing them ,although some of Ben Ma phrases are a bit short and Alex should use the word Mailott instead of T-shirt.
It would help if we could view these more easily.

I found Ben Ma’s very good with some nice sentences using `if I had done….`. However just remember that the ending of the past participle does not change if it is not a MRS VANDETRAMP verb e.g nous avons mangé not mangés.

I really enjoyed looking at all of the Bubblr scripts. I found Ben Mo’s very amusing especially when it states he is singing “I’m singing in the rain!” However for future reference I would have expanded you ideas and used longer sentences. In addition I really enjoyed Jack D’s trip to Paris with Sasha. I thought it was really imaginative. It would have been nice if you had added more pictures!

The comic strips overall are very good, with the conditional perfect tense used often and with accuracy. Most are amusing.

I thought they were all great, but Sanat put ‘J’ai couché’ instead of je me suis couché, other than that it was great.

Some good cartoons here, including Kam’s. I appreciate the research put in by Kam to find so many different famous landmarks and things to do in France, however, there are a few slip ups in terms of grammar, such as when he wrote “Puis j’ai puis” instead of “Puis j’ai pris”. But apart from that; excellent.

I found Ben T’s very interesting with lots of good vocabulary which was used very well with the story line. I think more pictures could have been added on a few of the slides, however it was very good and very enjoyable too. The use of reflexive verbs and the sentances in the conditional plus pluperfect tense were very good.
